Request early access
Teal VPN for Mac is in testing before its public release. Choose Mac in the form and we send your install link.

Sign in
Apple, Google, or email. Your Free plan is ready at once, with no payment details.

Allow the VPN once
macOS asks to add a VPN configuration. Click Allow, confirm with Touch ID, and from then on one click connects.
Quit other VPN apps
Two VPNs fight over one connection. Quit the other app fully, from its menu bar icon too. Teal VPN warns you when another VPN is active.
Finish any Wi-Fi sign-in page
Hotel, airport, and café Wi-Fi often need you to accept terms in a browser first.
Check System Settings › VPN
Teal VPN should be listed there. If you removed it, connect from the app again and click Allow.
Try another network
If your phone’s hotspot works and the Wi-Fi does not, the Wi-Fi filters VPN traffic. Teal VPN tries another route by itself.

Is there a free VPN for Mac without a subscription?
Yes. Teal Free needs no subscription and no payment details: 500 MB of data every day, the Lithuania location, and up to 2 devices.
Does Teal VPN work on MacBook Air and MacBook Pro?
Yes. Teal VPN runs on Macs with Apple silicon, including MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini, and Mac Studio, on macOS 14.4 Sonoma or later. Support for Intel Macs is in testing.
How many locations does Teal VPN have on Mac?
Six: Lithuania, Germany, Sweden, the United States, Japan and Singapore. Teal Free includes Lithuania; Teal Pro opens all six.
Can I keep Teal VPN in the menu bar only?
Yes. Teal VPN lives in the menu bar, and you can hide its Dock icon in Settings. You can also choose whether the VPN stays on after you quit the app.
Is Teal VPN for Mac on the App Store?
Not yet. Teal VPN for Mac is in testing before its public release. Request early access and we will tell you when it is ready. Teal VPN for Windows, Android, iPhone and iPad is available now.
Can I use the same account on my phone and PC?
Yes. Your plan belongs to your account. Sign in with the same account on Mac, Windows, Android, iPhone and iPad.
Can I use another VPN app at the same time?
No. Only one VPN can carry your traffic. If another VPN app is running, Teal VPN tells you and shows “Not protected” instead of claiming you are safe.
